Sommilito Nagorik Samajprotested the actions taken by the Khulna Development Authority (KDA). Sommilito Nagorik Samag arranged a press conference at khulna press club yesterday morning. Adv. Saiful Islam, convener of the organization said KDA has taken some unjust decisions recently that creating problems for the city dwellers intended to get service from that organization.
The main problem arises when KDA decided recently to authorize building plans having 20 feet width road only. For which hundreds of planes submitted earlier have been kept aside. But the people purchased the land much before taking loan from Banks and elsewhere and submitted accordingly. KDA used to authorize plane of building having 6 feet width road in early sixties, building plan having 12 feet width road in early nineties. KDA should have been declared this minimum ten years back so the people could purchase the land accordingly.
Besides, KDA also have enhanced the rate plots of different places much higher. In sonadanga 1st phase 2.65 lakh to 25 lakh taka/ katha, 2nd face 2.5 lakh to 25 lakh/kata, Niral 2.5 lakh to 20 lakh/katha, MA Bar sorok 3 lakh to 35 lakh taka/ katha. Similarly transfer fee also enhanced three folds.
