Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Md. Moniruzzaman Mony today said KCC has been working relentlessly to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the city dwellers.
He also said the KCC has undertaken a project involving Tk 30 crore under the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) for the development of Chitrali Kitchen Market in Khalishpur industrial area and construction of roads, culverts and drainages of all 31 wards in the city.
He said this while speaking at the 10th special meeting of KCC held at Shaheed Altaf Auditorium.
He stressed the need for civic facilities at any cost as per the election pledges and said KCC would complete development works gradually on the basis of importance.
“We are committed to ensure enhanced civic facilities,” he said adding that at least 4 to 5 big projects including Linear Park would be implemented by 2016 to bring about a remarkable change in the city.
He also asked officials concerned to the ongoing projects of KCC to do their best by keeping fairness and accountability.
Panel Mayors of KCC Anisur Rahman Biswas, Sheikh Hafizur Rahman and Ruma Khatun, Councilors, Women Councilors of reserve seats, officials and officers of different Projects of KCC attended the meeting and presented proposal for the development of KCC.
