A Kaviraj (herbal medicine practitioner) was hacked to death allegedly for helping one’s wife to engage in love affair with another in Satal Pakka area of Sadar upazila on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Chand Mia, 42, son of late Motalib Mia of Shibpur village in the upazila.
Abu Shama Md Iqbal Hayat, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station said Jakir got married four years back. Since marriage, his wife used to maintain extra marital affairs with others with the help of Kaviraj.

he was returning home around 7pm, leaving him critically injured.
Local rescued the victim and sent him to Kishorganj General Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead.
Soon after the incident, police arrested Jakir Hossain, 26, son of Gias Uddin of the same area around 8:30pm, the OC added.
