Katrina Kaif, the damsel who initially was in distress, does not fall in that category any more. However, there was a time when she was a Miss ‘Nobody.’ Starting her illustrious career with Boom opposite megastar Amitabh Bachchan and several senior artistes, she didn’t set the Box Office on fire (as was expected from the multi-starrer). In fact, the leggy lass was written off as ‘plastic’ and ‘stone-faced.’
From getting these unpleasant monikers to gracing the headlines with new-found love words such as ‘Barbie Doll’ and ‘Chikni Chameli,’ the girl has travelled many miles. Her first experience of facing the arc-lights may not have been an ideal one, as she herself accepted in one of her interviews (many years later) that Boom was a big mistake. But she strived hard, worked on her Hindi speaking skills, and today we have her as one of the most riveted actresses, who delivers Rs100 crore films at quite an unpredictable Box Office.
