Actress Kate Hudson has lent her voice to the chorus of individuals demanding action in the wake of the senseless tragedies that have the recent months. Following the fatal terrorist attacks in Bangladesh and Istanbul, shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile and the attack on the Dallas police force Thursday night, the actress put figurative pen to paper to produce a poem about the seemingly never-ending patterns of violence. The star took to Instagram to share the poem. She specifically noted Sterling, Castile, Orlando’s Pulse nightclub massacre, the Dallas shootings, and recent terror attacks around the world. “These last few months have brought so much sadness. From Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, Orlando shooting, Dallas, to terrorist attacks of Bangladesh, Istanbul, Baghdad, Somalia,” the 37-year-old captioned the poem. “Everyday there is violence like this reported and not reported. It becomes overwhelming that there could be such hatred and senseless killing. When I can’t make sense of things I just start to write. I don’t usually share my writing but I felt a desire to put this out there. Peace,” she added.
