The triennial election for the session (2014-17) of Maa-0-Shishu Hospital in Chittagong will be held on June 7 next .
Two panels are expected to participate the election . A projection meeting of one panel Dr, Karim and Dr. Anjuman Ara panel was held at Chittagong Press Club auditorium yesterday morning.
22 aspirant candidates of the said panel are participating in 19 posts as follows:- President candidate Dr. Prof. Fazlul Karim General Secy Dr. Anjuman Ara , Vice Presidents- Dr. M.A. Taher Khan, Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, SM Morshed Hossain, Dr. Ariful Amin (Treasurer) Executive members – Md. Anowarul Islam, Engr. Ali Ashraf, SM Kutubuddin, Dr. Kamrun Nahar, Khais Ahmed, Zahidul Hasan, Dr. Parves Iqbal, Dr. Faizal Iqbal, Rekha Alam Chy, Dr. Shahdat Hossain. Dr. Md. Yousuf, Ln. Dr. Md. Sanaullah, Md. Harun Yousuf. The members elected unopposed are – Nur Mohammad, Rezaul Karim and Ln Md. Zabed Afsar.. All the candidates were introduced before the newsmen in the press meet.
On the other hand , another panel led by Prof. Dr. Nurjahan Bhuyia and SM Abdul Mannan Rana is also contesting the election in separate panel, sources said.
