It’s been a whirlwind of rumours and denials, but its official now. Kareena Kapoor Khan is going to be a mom.
After months of speculation, it was actor Saif Ali Khan who finally announced to the world that he was to have a child with his actress wife, Kareena Kapoor.
A statement released by the couple on Saturday said they are expecting a baby in December 2016. “My wife and I would like to announce that we are expecting our first child in December. We would like to thank our well wishers for their blessings and support and also the press for their discretion and patience,” it said. This will be Saif’s third child. He has a son and daughter with first wife, Amrita Singh.
By June, Kareena had decided to go back on her ‘two-year’ plan, and said she wasn’t interested in doing Hollywood films since she was keen to start a family.
It was also the time she was promoting her just-released film, Udta Punjab.
Every sartorial choice was made keeping the growing bump in mind – loose ethnic kurtas, strategically placed shawls and satchels that would sit at her belly came in handy.
