The Heroine actress Kareena Kapoor Khan spent Eid with young girls from an NGO in Jalna.
As a celebrity advocate of UNICEF, Kareena Kapoor Khan recently visited Jalna to propagate the education of girl children. On Eid this year, Kareena was not celebrating the festival with husband Saif Ali Khan, who’s away in London.
Instead, she put the day to good use by spending it with the girls of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), an NGO located in Jalna, as part of her association with UNICEF. In the past too, as part of her UNICEF duties, the actress has visited kids in schools and orphanages on several occasions.
Recalling the experience, Kareena tells hit-list, “The girls from Jalna were bright and attentive. I, along with UNICEF, wish to promote child-friendly schools and joyful learning for all young girls across India.”
