Noted musician and music director Moinul Islam Khan and his wife National Film Award winner noted singer Kanakchapa are going to introduce with a new identity to all. For his wife Moinul Islam Khan composed a song titled Raat-er jalsa ghorey nachey Chandramukhi, Devdas janena se koto dukhi. Humayun Kabir wrote lyrics of the song, while Moinul Islam Khan has composed its music. After many thinking Kanakchapa gave her voice for the song.
But not only this one thing happened in 38 years of Moinul Islam’s career 38 years and 34 years music career of Kanakachapa. For the first time Kanakchapa performed in a music video of own song, which was made by her husband. It is happened for the first time in their long time music career. Therefore, Kanakchapa also worked as an art director of the video.
Last Wednesday music video was done in the city’s Bengal Studio where ZH Mintu worked as its cinematographer and Mottakinur Rahman Wasek worked as choreographer. Biplab Saha played the role of Devdas, Ananya Bonik in role of Parboti and Kathak dancer and actress Himi performed in role of Chandramukhi in the video.
Moinul Islam Khan mentioned that models who worked in this music video they did not take any remuneration.
While talking about making the video he told this correspondent, “I always think song is not only to a listening media, now it has become a visual art also. It is the demand of time. For this reason, I have started my new journey as a director with one of my favourite songs.”
Kanakchapa shared her feelings by this way, “The song who composed its tune and music I wanted to render it because in one sense his work is like a difficult task on other side at of the work it becomes a nice work. At last, I have rendered the song and I worked as art director in the video. Specially some artworks of Mughal period at Baiji house were portrayed by own mind.”
Moinul Islam Khan also mentioned that the music video will be first seen in different satellite channels and Youtube soon. In the beginning of the song story of Devdas, Parbati and Chandramukhi will be presented with the song of Kanakchapa.
