Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal expressed deep shock and sorrow at the loss of lives in a launch tragedy in the Buriganga River.
In a condolence message on Monday, Kamal prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of the victims and conveyed his deep sympathy to their bereaved family members.
The launch named ‘ML Morning Bird’ was carrying over 50 passengers sank in the Buriganga River at about 9 am.
The fire service sources said the engine boat capsized in the river as a Chandpur-bound launch hit it (Morning Bird) nearFarashganjGhat area while coming from Katpotti area of Munshiganj.
