Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Bangla Academy Director General (DG) poet Habibullah Sirajee.
In a condolence message, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family. The Ekushey Award winning poet breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital’s Shyamoli around 11pm on Monday at the age of 73.
He left behind wife, a son, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
