Kamal emerged as the champion in the Men’s Division of the 4th National Surfing Competition at Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.
Rifa became champion in the Women’s Division at the same venue on the same day.
Both of them were awarded Taka twenty thousand, a surfing boat, a trophy each.
Rashed Alam became runner-up in the Men’s Division, while Ruhul Amin finished third in the same division. Rashed Alam got Taka fifteen thousand, while Ruhul Amin was given Taka ten thousand.
Sabemehraj became runner-up in the Women’s Division, while Sumi finished third in the same division.
Sagor emerged as the champion in the Junior Division, while Mannan became runner-up in the same division and Yousuf finished third in the same division.
After the competition, Chairman of Cox’s Bazar Unnayan Kartripakkha Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Forkan Ahmed distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while Senior Vice-President of BSA and Chairman of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation Akhtaruzzaman Khan Kabir, Vice-President of BSA Abdul Mabud, Police Super of Tourist Department Md Jillur Rahman were with him as special guests.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Surfing Association (BSA) and Additional Secretary of Ministry of Public Administration Sheikh Yousuf Harun presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
