Entertainment Report :
Noted Tagore artiste Kamal Ahmed has released his new album titled Mohakabyer Kobi to pay homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his 41st death anniversary on August 15.
Mohakabyer Kobi is the 14th solo album of Kamal Ahmed, which has been released under the banner of renowned Raga Music from Kolkata, India. The album features a total of 12 songs written by lyricist Fazlul Haque Khan.
All the songs in the album are directly related to the eventful life and work of Bangabandhu which highlights the heroic leadership of Bangabandhu during the Liberation War of Bangladesh, historic March 7 speech and few other significant events of his life.
While talking about his new album Kamal Ahmed told this correspondent from Kolkata over mobile phone, “Though my album Mohakabyer Kobi, the sacrifice, patriotism, foresight and leadership of Bangabandhu will reach out to the younger generation of the country. Today, our younger generation is rudderless for many reasons. If they follow the ideals of Bangabandhu, they will be enlightened. I believe this album will be a bridge between Bangabandhu and new generation.”
Kamal Ahmed also informed that besides releasing the album in Bangladesh, the album has also been released in Kolkata. The album cover was unveiled as a part of the programme organised by the High Commission of Bangladesh in Kolkata to mark the National Mourning Day 2016.
