A cricketer of Kalabagan Krira Chakra died in a road accident in Capital’s Farmgate area at around 8.30pm last night. His friend Afzal Hossain was also injured in the accident.
The deceased identified as Shahidul Islam Nirob (32), hailing from Keraniganj, was a first batch divisional cricketer of Kalabagan Krira Chakra.
Tejgaon Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Salahuddin Miah said a case was filed in this regard. The killer bus was seized but the driver fled. We are conducting a drive to arrest the killer bus driver.
