Chasing a winning target of 317 runs set by Kalabagan, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club face early batting jolt losing quick wickets and finally able to picked up 295 losing all the wickets from their stipulated 50 overs.
Howler middle orders Zabid Hossain (52 n.o), Muktar Ali (51) and tail-ender Wahidul Alam (49) offered some resistance but it merely reduced the defeat margin. Zimbabwean recruit Hamilton Masakadza caused the major damage for Sheikh Jamal as he grabbed four wickets conceding 37 runs.
Earlier, put to bat first by Sheikh Jamal, Kalabagan, rode on Mashrafe’s brilliant 104-run, amassed a massive total of 316 for 7 from their allotted 50 overs.
The one man army Mashrafe created havoc all around the ground with his entertaining batting display as he smashed 11 over boundaries and two boundaries during his only 51 ball stay on the crease before opener Jashimuddin (64) and Hamlinton Masakadza (45) paved the way contributing 71 runs partnership for the second wicket stand for Kalabagan.
Shohag Gazi and Mahmudullah were the most successful bowlers for Sheikh Jamal as they picked up two wickets giving away 39 and 56 runs respectively.
Mashrafe Bin Morataza of Kalabagan was named the player of the match for his impressive batting performance in the match.
