After getting married with a businessman of Chittagong Md Kashem in 1982 Kajori’s acted last movie was Noyon-er Alo. She didn’t want to take acting as her profession. When Kajori (orginal name is Ferdousi Ara Shelly) entered into film industry, as a heroine during that time Razzak-Kobori was a popular pair. For this reason, she changed her original name and started acting in the name of Kajori. From that time Shelly turned into Kajori to all.
On Sunday when she came from Chittagong to Dhaka this correspondent talked with her in the city’s Bashundhara Residential Area.
While talking about film career Kajori told this correspondent, “In fact, after getting married I became busy with my family life. Therefore, acting in the film industry was my passion. I am a mother of two daughters and a son. After marriage I had to go to Chittagong from Dhaka. For this reason, I couldn’t get the opportunity to continue acting. But I didn’t forget acting. I want to act for another time. It can be happened by a TV play because it is now really difficult for me to act in any movie due to maintaining time schedule from Chittagong. Therefore, it will be not easy for me to continue acting in this stage.”
It may be mentioned that Kajori’s father was working in Chittagong Betar. For this reason, she got the opportunity to act in several plays on Betar during her childhood, she said.
