Krishok Sramik Janata League president Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddiqui has threatened to shift his indefinite sit-in to Gano Bhaban from party’s Motijheel central office unless the law enforcers stop harassing his peaceful programme.
“If police do not stop disturbing my peaceful programme, I’ll shift it in front of my sister’s [Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina] Gano Bhaban residence. They [police] demolished the pandal, bamboo, clothes and mikes on Sunday and since then I have been staying there
under the open sky covering my body with jute bag,” he told journalists on Tuesday, the 6th day of the sit-in programme.
Earlier on last Wednesday, Kader Siddique began an indefinite sit-in demanding dialogue between the ruling Awami League and Bangladesh Nationalist Party to resolve the current political crisis.
Starting the sit-in programme at party’s central office at Motijheel, Kader Siddique said that prime minister Sheikh Hasina and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia must sit in dialogue to resolve the current political crisis, which sustained for more than three weeks.
Meanwhile, Bikalpa Dhara Bnagladesh President DR Badrudozza Chowdhury, secretary general Major [rtd] M Mannan have expressed solidarity to the programme of Kader Siddiqui.
