Adoloscent gangs have become much more adamant in Khulna. They are committing different crimes including murder, snatching and sexual harassment at random.
Recently, some killings, rape and chaos and confusion were committed by the adeloscent and youth gangs in the city and upazila areas of the district.
Kanai Lal Sarker, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC, Headquarter) of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) and spokesman of KMP said, except some incidents, the overall situation of Khulna city is good and KMP are alert to avert any untoward situation. Mentionable here that the Mastermind of sensational Hridoy murder case in Khulna was arrested. His name is Abul Kalam Biswas alias Kalu Biswas.
The mastermind of school student Hridoy murder in Khulna was arrested by the police from Abhoynagar of Jashore district. He is also the father of No. 1 accused Kamran of the murder case filed with Daulatpur police station in Khulna city.
Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam granted 2 days remand only to Kalam, resident of Pabla Karigorpara under Daulatpur Police Station in Khulna city. Sayed Mosharaf Hossain, OC (Investigation) of Daulatpur police station and Investigation Officer (IO) of the case said, according to the confessional statment of the accused persons who were arrested earlier, Kalam Biswas was arrested with a view to arrest unnamed accused persons. It is also mentionable here that Reazul Islam Hridoy was killed brutally between 24 to 28 August. His deadbody was found near the fish enclosure of Mahatab at Pabla Karigorpara area. Police recovered the deadbody from under hyacinth.
On August 29, 2020 a case was lodged with Daulatpur police sstation in this connection.
The analysts said, Adolescent gangs have become much more desperate in Khulna than the previous times.
Recently, stalkers and unemployed youths are gathering at different tea-stalls and hotels of Khulna city. Particularly, stalkers, members and informers of a banned extremist parties’ and some so-called youth-intellectuals (!) assemble at Deepak’s Tea-stall, located at opposite to a community health center called “Surjer Hashi Clinic” ( Beside Pabla 6 No. Ward Community Center) at Pabla Shobuj Shangho Cross road at 6 No. Ward of Khulna City corporation (KCC) under Daulatpur Police station in the city.
These stalkers and youth persons gossip by sitting in this tea stall as they have no works, local people alleged. Even they are allegedly involved with drug addicting, drug peddling, snatching, stealing, gang rape and killing.
Awareness is essential in this regard as crimes occurred by adolescents are alarmingly increasing, experts think.
Mentionable here that recently six adolescents were arrested from different places of Khulna city on charge of gang rape.
A mosque Khadem was allegedly killed by some stalkers at dead of night on Saturday (on January 19, 2019) at city’s East Baniakhamar area following an altercation centering a trifle matter. Police arrested seven of the accused stalkers in this connection. The accused arrested persons gave confessional statement before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate Mr. Tariqul Islam, IO said SI Shariful Alam said.
The deceased was identified as Masud Gazi, 40, son of Munsur Rahman gazi, resident of 9th Lane of East Baniakhamar Lohargate area under Khulna Kotwali police station in the city.
