Staff Reporter :Former chief election commissioner (CEC) Justice Sultan Hossain Khan passed away on Saturday. He was 91. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a Dhaka hospital at dawn, his family members said. The Appellate Division judge also served Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) and Bangladesh Press Council (BPC) as chairman. His Namaj-e-Janaza will be held at the premises of the Supreme Court mosque at 1:30pm today [Monday]. Relatives said he would be buried at his home at Rajapur in Jhalakathi. Khan is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. He served as the CEC in 1990. He became the chairman of the ACC after the Anti-Corruption Bureau was restructured as Anti Corruption Commission in 2004.
