Twenty sixth anniversary of death of leading organizer of War of Liberation, former President late Justice Abu Sayeed Chowdhury will be observed today.
In this connection Qurankhwani and Milad Mahfil have been arranged at Nagbari Jame Mosque in Tangail.
His children have requested all of his friends, relatives and well-wishers to pray to Allah for salvation of the departed soul.
Justice Abu Sayeed Chowdhury played a significant role in anti-autocracy movement. He authored four books ‘Probashe Muktijuddher Dinguli’, “Manobadhikar” “Muslim Family Law in the English Courts” and “Human Rights in the twentieth Century”.
He was visiting professor at Franklin Pierce Law Centre, New Hampshire, USA. He donated a vast of his property for religious and academic institutions in various upazilas of Tangail.
