Around 4,000 people were given treatment at the health camp of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) on Saturday.
52 specialised physicians provided treatment to them, informed Abdur Rashid, public relations officer, JUST.
Deputy speaker Md Fazle Rabbi inaugurated the camp as the chief guest. Chaired by Professor Dr Anwar Hossain, vice chancellor, the opening session was addressed among others by Dr Md Abdur Rashid, chief executive officer, Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital, Dhaka, Professor Dr Md Iqbal Kabir Jahid, president, Teachers Association, Dr Md Nazmul Hasan, general secretary, Engineer Md Ahsan Habib, register and Dr. Deepak Kumar Mondol, Medical Officer, JUST.
In the health camp, patients were provided medicines and equipments, the public relations officer added.
