Junior Tigers to leave for Sri Lanka tomorrow

The Bangladesh Under-19 team will leave for Colombo, Sri Lanka on Tuesday (December 13) to participate in the Asian Cricket Council Under-19 Asia Cup.
The eight-team competition will kick off on Thursday (December 15) and will go on till December 23 with the final to be played under lights at R Premadasa International Stadium.
Apart from host Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Singapore and Malaysia will take part in the tournament.
Bangladesh will start their tournament campaign taking on Afghanistan in their group B opening match on Thursday (December 15) at Uyanwatte Stadium, Matara, play their second group match against Singapore on Friday (December 16) at Galle International Stadium and face their third and last group match against Pakistan on December 18 at the same venue.
The host Sri Lanka has been drawn with former champions India, Nepal and Malaysia in group A while Pakistan will battle it out with Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Singapore in group B. Two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
All group matches will be played on December 15, 16 and 18 while the semi-finals will be worked out on December 20 and 21.
Bangladesh U-19 squad- Mohammed Saif Hassan (captain), Sozib Hosen, Nazmul Alam, Afif Hossain (vice captain), Aminul Islam Biplob, Rayan Rafsan Rahman, Habibur Rahman, M Rakib, Mahidul Islam Bhuiyan, Nayeem Hasan, Shakhawat Hossain, Qazi Onik Islam, Yeasin Arafat, Mukidul Islam and Mohammad Abdul Halim.
