A squad of 10 poets from Medinipur, Poschimbongo in India attended a poetry evening titled Jongolmoholer Kobita along with renowned poets of Bangladesh at Poet Shamsur Rahman Auditorium of Bangla Academy in Dhaka on October 27.
Hosted by Kathak, a Bangladesh-Poetry initiative, this event was focused on getting poets and poetry lovers together of two countries of same language to define the path of the bilateral development and propagation of the poetic arts in Bangladesh and Poschimbongo.
The objective was to provide the appropriate dialogues, setting and space for discussions centering in the various strategies for developing poetry.
The poets Biplab Majee, Prafulla Pal, Tapas Maity, Debabrata Bhattacharia, Bhabesh Basu, Paban Lodha, Uttam Kumar Pani, Kamalesh Nanda, Susanta Kumar Mondol, Anandarup Nayek, are renowned poets in India and abroad for their extraordinary contribution to the world literary.
