Holy Jumatul Wida, the last Jumma prayers in the holy month of Ramadan, and the h oly night of the Ramadan month- Lailatul Qadr were observed in the port city as elsewhere in district on Friday and Saturday with due religious fervor, solemnity, gaiety and rituals.
Thousands of Muslim devotees of all strata of life thronged mosques during the holy Jumatul Wida and Lailatul Qadr night across the port city.
Muslim males in a bigger number attired with traditional Panjabi and Paijama and other finest but religiously matched dresses assembled at the mosques of their localities much before the noon and engaged themselves in Zikr and Telawat-e-Quran before the congregation of the Jumma started.The Khatibs and Imams of different mosques delivered special Khutba
highlighting the significance of Jumatul Wida and the holy month of Ramadan before the Jumatul Wida prayers.Special munajats were also offered at all mosques after Jumma seeking divine blessings for the peace, progress and prosperity of the nation, the Muslim Ummah and as well as for the individuals.The religious devouts passed whole night on Saturday upto early Sunday morning to perform Qadr prayer . Zikir and recitation from holy Quroan held ain all mosques and Dargaon premises to seek divine of the Almighty Allah.
