The election of the executive committee of Jahangirnagar University Journalists’ Association (JUJA) for the 2017-18 sessions will be held on January 19.
The polls will begin at 10am and will continue till 1pm on January 19, while the results will be published within 4pm on that day.
The chief election commissioner Prof Farid Ahmed also the president of Jahangirnagar University Teacher’s Association (JUTA) announced the election schedule. The decision was taken at JUJA annual general meeting held at its office at JU Teacher and Student Centre (TSC) on January 5.
The Advisor of JUJA Prof Shahedur Rashid attended in the meeting as chief guest while JUJA president Belal Hossain Rahat was in the chair.
In the meeting, the JUJA members reviewed its activities of last year while after verifying around 50 application forms of 32 campus correspondents of different print and online media were approved as JUJA member for the upcoming session.
A total of 18 members will contest for 9 posts confirmed Chief election commissioner Prof Dr. Farid Ahmed.
