JUJA new committee takes charge

The newly elected executive committee members of Jahangirnagar University Journalists’ Association (JUJA) took charge on the second instant at senate hall on the campus for the year of 2018.
Newly elected JUJA President Nur Alam Himel, Vice-President Plabon Tarique, Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Niloy, Joint Secretary Md Asaduz Zaman, Treasurer Taukir Rahman, Office Secretary SM Alamgir Mizan and its members Rahul M Usuf, Shumi Akhter and Shariful Islam Shimanta took the charge of the JUJA executive body for next one year.
JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Farzana Islam, its Treasurer Prof Sheikh Md Monjurul Huq, Editor of Daily Jugantor Saiful Islam and JU Teachers’ Association President Prof Farid Ahmed, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Addressing the function, JU VC Prof Farzana Islam urged journalists to maintain objectivity during their reporting and assured of providing all-out supports to the JUJA.
JU Proctor Prof Tapan Kumar Saha, Provost of Shahid Salam-Barkat hall Prof Kabirul Bashar, Prof Kamrul Ahsan and leaders and activists of different political, cultural and social student’s organisation were present at the function.
JUJA also accorded a farewell reception for its immediate past President Moudud Ahmmed Sujan, Secretary Shoriful Kabir Shamim and the outgoing campus reporters, who have already completed their post graduation.
