The Awami League candidates unofficially won the by-polls to Mymensingh-1 and Mymensingh-3 constituencies held on Monday.
Upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Haluaghat M Helaluzzaman Sarker said Juel Areng bagged 170,234 votes in Mymensingh-1 constituency to defeat his nearest independent candidate Selima Khatun who polled 14,338.
In Mymensingh-3, Nazim Uddin secured 119,438 votes while his nearest contestant Shamsuzzaman of Jatiya Party got 4,372 votes, said UNO of Gouripur Marzina Akter.
