Judges asked to increase use of modern tech in judiciary

President M Abdul Hamid called upon the judges to increase the use of modern technology in judicial proceedings to fulfill public expectations.
He came up with the call on Monday evening as the newly appointed 11 judges of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban .
Congratulating the new judges, the Head of the State hoped that they would utilize their talents and expertise to ensure the speedy justices for the litigants, reports BSS.
The 11 judges of the High Court division of the Supreme Court are: Justice Md Shawkat Ali Chowdhury, Justice Md Atabullah, Justice Biswajit Debnath, Justice Md Aminul Islam, Justice Md Ali Reza, Justice Md Bazlur Rahman, Justice KM Imrul Qayesh, Justice Fahmida Quader, Justice Md Bashir-Ullah and Justice SM Masud.
Secretaries concerned to the Bangabhaban were present on the ocassion, reports BSS.
The eleven newly-appointed HC additional judges took oath on July 31.
President Hamid made the appointments of these 11 additional judges for two years from the date of their oath in line with Article 98 of the Constitution.
