Chattogram district and divisional courts including Chief Metropolitan Magistrate increased the number of cases in the court, but the number of judges did not increase in the last decade. The case increased by three times more than the judge. In 2007, the number of cases was 15 thousand 106. In the last February, the number of cases increased to 48 thousand 518.
It is known that there are six judges in eight courts now. Two judges are on vacation for training. The trial of the CMM court was hampered due to shortage of judges.
The case is demanded to increase the number of additional courts and judges and officers and employees for quick settlement of cases.
