A coordination meeting between the judges of Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate courts and the senior officials of CMP police authority held at court’s conference hall on Saturdy evening
This is first ever such meeting of Judges and CMP athority held in the port city . Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Moshiur Rahman Chowdhury and the Additional Police commissioner Banaj Kumar Majumder led the respective sides in the meeting.
CMM court sources said this type coordination meeting will be held in every month from now. Mentionable that such type of coordination meeting was being held earlier between the district court judges with district police authority but from now CMM judges will hold such meeting with CMP officials regularly, sources said.
Both the sides discussed the matters of mutual interests and agreed to resolve their differences in trial of the criminal cases.
The existing problems between the police and magistracy need to be mitigated for better interest of the case dispose up , sources said. Deputy police commissioners, Asstt Commissioners of different police zone and prosecution department and the officers in-charges of 16 CMP thanas were present in the meeting.
