UNB, Benapole (Jessore) :
A local Jubo League leader was found dead at Churamankathi in Sadar upazila of Jessore district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Zakir Hossain, 32, general secretary of Churamankathi ward unit of the youth front of the ruling party.
Police said Zakir went out of his house on Tuesday night and since then he had remained missing.
Locals spotted his body at a garden in the area and informed police who recovered it and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy in the morning.
Confirming the murder, Jessore Kotwali Police Station officer-in-charge Emdadul Haque Sheikh said Zakir might have been killed following dispute over drug business.
A case was filed in this connection.
