Bangladesh Awami Jubo League President Omar Faruk Chowdhury here Friday afternoon paid glowing tributes to former President of City Awami League (AL) and former Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury for his outstanding contributions to politics and welfare of the common masses.
“We have many things to learn from the prolonged political legacy of Mohiuddin that he left for the rank and file of the party”, said Omar Fruk Chowdhury while addressing a memorial meeting on the late former Mayor of Chittagong ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, as the chief guest.
The Jubo League President said, Mohiuddin became politician from the grass-root level and urged the party stalwarts to take lessons from the life of the late leader.
Speaking on the occasion, acting President of Chittagong City Awami League (AL) Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury recalled Mohiuddin’s immense contributions to the development and welfare of Chittagong and its people.
Mayor of Chittagong AJM Nasir Uddin said late Chowdhury did a lot for social, cultural and educational fields in Chittagong during his long political carrier.
Jubo League Chittagong City Unit organised the memorial meeting.
Presided over by Jubu League city unit President Mohiuddin Bacchu, the meeting was addressed, among others, by M A Latif MP, AL leader Khurshed Alam Sujan, CDA Chairman Abdus Salam and central Jubo League leader Akter Hossain.
