Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and Monayem Munna have been made President and General Secretary respectively of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, a BNP associate body.
The BNP on Friday announced the eight-member committee of the youth wing of the party. The move was part of the overhauling the party and its associate bodies before the next general polls.
BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the committee through a press release. Sultan Salahuddin Tuku was a former President of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and was the General Secretary of the previous committee of Jubo Dal.
Among the other leaders of the committee, Mamun Hasan was made the Senior Vice-President, Nurul Islam Nayan the Vice-President, Shafiqul Islam Milton the first Joint-General Secretary, Golam Mawla Shaheen Joint-General secretary, Ishaq Sarker the Organizing Secretary and Kamruzzaman Dulal the office secretary of the new committee of Jubo Dal.
Jubo Dal’s last committee was formed on January 17, 2017, with Saiful Alam Nirob as the President and Sultan Salahuddin Tuku as General Secretary.
The BNP has long been renovating the party’s different units and associate bodies as it is preparing to wage a movement with a demand for holding the next national election under a non-party neutral government.
