Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal president Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal was freed from Kashimpur Central Jail on bail on Thursday.
Alal was released from the part-1 of the jail around 12:45pm. A huge number of Jubo Dal leaders and activists received their leader at the jail gate with bouquets.
Jailer Faridur Rahman of the jail patrt-1 said Alal was freed from the jail after the bail order reached the jail authorities.
Law enforcers picked up Alal from his Lalmatia residence in the capital on the night of December 27 last year.
Alal was accused in nine cases filed with different police stations, including Chawlkbazar, Shahbagh, Paltan, Mothijheel and Shahjahanpur.
On January 31 this year, Alal was shifted to Kashimpur central jail from Dhaka central jail.
