Awami Juba League Chairman Omar Faruque yesterday came down heavily on journalists for what he said not mostly covering political news from positive point of view.
He was addressing the inaugural function of the 42nd founding anniversary of Juba League.
Taking a swipe at a section of journalists, he said that the newsmen always criticise the activities of Chhatra League and Juba League but never write anything positive on them. “If this programme successfully finishes, it will never be news.
However, it will be news if any bomb explosion or any clash takes place in this meeting,” said Faruque.
“The journalists always reports on the negative aspects of Chhatra League-Juba League. What did Chhatra League- Juba League men? They unmasked the unscrupulous journalists,” added Faruque.
