Police arrested a union-level leader of Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal, accused of making derogatory remarks on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, from Shinguli union of Mirsarai upazila early Monday.
The arrestee was identified as Iftekhar Mahmud Zipsan, 25, hailed from the same area.
Liakot Ali, OC of Zorarganj Police Station said, acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive at his home around 12:00am and arrested him.
