A leader of Sharsha upazila unit Juba Dal, BNP’ s youth front, was reportedly abducted from Kamalapur area of the capital on Tuesday night.
The victim was identified as Habibur Rahman Habi, vice-president of the Juba Dal upazila unit.
Quoting locals of the Kamalapur area, Habi’s brother Shamsur Rahman said some miscreants abducted the Juba Dal leader in the area at about 9:30 pm while he was coming to Dhaka from Benapole for business purpose.
“I called him over phone several times but it was found switched off and also looked for him in every possible place, yet his whereabouts could not be confirmed,” added Shamsur.A general diary was filed with Matijheel Police Station in this connection.
