Professor Dr Farzana Islam, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of valiant freedom fighter and Sector Commander of the 1971 Liberation War Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Abu Osman Chowdhury.
In a condolence message, the VC recalled his contribution to the Liberation War and said the nation will remember his unique contribution in the great Liberation War forever.
Dr Farzana prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
