The authority of Jahangirnagar University (JU) has taken up various programmes to celebrate the Pahela Baishakh, the first day of Bangla New Year, today.
To mark the day, a rally will be brought out from Old Arts Faculty premises at 10.00 am. JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Farzana Islam will lead the rally.
The programmes also included a 3 day-long Baishakhi fair, concert and cultural functions on the campus.
The different departments will celebrate the day at their respective departments.
