The election to the teachers’ representative to Syndicate, Academic Council and Finance committee of Jahangirnagar University (JU) will be held today at the University Teachers’ Club. The teachers of the university are contesting in the poll from two panels– one is combined of BNP backed and left leaning teachers’ platform under the banner of ‘Sammilito Shikkhak Parishad’ and another is Awami League backed teachers’ platform ‘Bangabandhur Adorsha O Muktijuddher Chetonay Bishwashi Progotisheel Shikkhak Samaj’. The teachers of the university will elect a total of six teachers for syndicate, six teachers for academic council and one teacher for finance committee.
