Manzurul Karim, a professor of Chemistry Department at Jahangirnagar University (JU), died with Covid-19 like symptoms at a hospital in Savar on Monday morning. He was 62.
He had been suffering from fever for several days and on Monday morning he was taken to the university medical center as his condition deteriorated. Later, he was shifted to Savar Super Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Farzana Islam expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Prof. Manzurul Karim.
She also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
