The 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was observed on Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus in a befitting manner on Tuesday.
Marking the day, the university authority arranged a tree plantation program at the Wajed Miah Research Center premises.
Sheikh Hasina hall authority of JU organized a discussion meeting at the hall yard.
Addressing the function as chief guest, JU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Farzana Islam highlighted the glorious life of prime minister Sheikh Hasina and wished her sound health and long life.
Conducted by provost of Sheikh Hasina hall, professor Bashir Ahmed, Pro-VC (admin) Professor Sheikh Manzurul Haque, Pro-VC (academic) Professor Nurul Alam, Treasurer Professor Rasheda Akhtar, former Pro-VC prof. Farhad Hossain, provost committee president professor Muzibur Rahman and president of JU Teachers Association professor A. A. Mamun and Professor Sohel Ahmed was present in the program among others.
Later, a birthday cake was cut and a special prayer was offered seeking Sheikh Hasina’s long life.
