JU observes Alumni Day

The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Friday observed its 3rd Alumni Day on the campus amid festivity.
Marking the day, Jahangirnagar University Alumni Association (JUAA) organised a central reunion programme on the campus.
JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam inaugurated the day event by hoisting the national flag and releasing balloons at the premises of the Business Studies Faculty at about 11 am.
Addressing the inaugural session, Prof Farzana Islam said such reunion has a positive impact on promoting self-harmony and amity among former students.
JU Pro-VC (academic) Prof Abul Hossain, Pro-VC (administration) Amir Hussain, Treasurer Prof Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq, Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique and President of JUAA and the former JU VC Professor Shariff Enamul Kabir, among others, spoke at the function.
Later, a colorful procession was brought out from the Business Studies Faculty premises and ended at Selim Al Deen Muktamancha parading different streets on the campus.
A reception programme of the university’s 3rd batch students was held at
Muktamancha where a good number of university’s 3rd batch students took part.
