Jahangirnagar University honoured four of its former professors of physics at the campus on Monday.
JU Physics Department organized the programme at the seminar room of Zahir Raihan auditorium at 11 am, with its Chairman Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury presiding over the programme.
The professors who have been honoured by the department are – Professor Dr M Muniruzzaman, Professor Dr Abu Syed Khan, Professor Dr Farida Mazid and Professor Dr Mir Akramuzzaman (Posthumously).
JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam addressed the function as the chief guest. The JU VC paid humble tribute to the outgoing professors and recalled their outstanding contributions to the department.
