JU ‘D’ unit admission test held, of ‘A’ unit deferred

The honurs first year admission test of ‘D’ unit of Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the 2020-2021 academic session was held.
The 1st phase of the test was started on Tuesday at 9: am and continued till 4:00 pm. The test ended on Wednesday at 4:00 pm. There were five shifts each day.
As per the information provided by Dean office of Biological Sciences faculty, a number 45,574 of admission seeker were present out of 69,226 candidates who applied for the unit. There are 320 seats in this unit where 160 seats for males and 160 seats for females.
Dean of the Bilogical Sciences faculty, Professor Abdul Jabber Hawlader said, Around 66 percent of the total applicant was present in the admission test. We have found several typesof errors in 626 answer sheets.
‘We hope to publish the result by tonight’, the dean added.
Meanwhile, The JU Pro-VC (admin) Professor Sheikh Manzurul Haque, Pro-VC (academic) and treasurer Professor Rasheda Akhtar visited several exam centres.
Besides, JU unit of Bangladesh Chatra League, Bangladesh Students’ Union provided bike service and Socialist Students Front and Bangladesh Chatra Odhikar Parishad started information desk to help the admission seekers.
However, Central Admission Test Management Committee revised the schedule again. Deputy registrar and member secretary of the committee said, The admission test of ‘A’ unit which was scheduled to be held in November 7 will be held on November 21 and the test of November 8 will be held on November 22.
