Chittagong Bureau :
President of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) and information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, said Khaleda Zia along with her party men were again out politicising the formation of the search committee for selecting election commissioners.
The minister also called upon his party leaders and activists to resist Khaleda Zia and BNP, patrons of militancy and war criminals, in order to save the country.
The minister disclosed it while addressing a meeting of JSD, Chittagong city, south and north district units, held at Chittagong Press Club auditorium on Saturday evening.
Addressing the meeting as the chief guest, Inu said though Khaleda Zia is demanding a neutral election commission and search committee, her main agenda is to appoint an election assisting government to pave the way for coming to power.
“The BNP leader is trying to do politics in troubled water in the name of neutral election commission as she tried to foil the January 5, 2014 election”, he said. Inu said Khaleda believes that the search committee will be neutral only if Rajakars are included in the committee.
JSD Chittagong city unit president Ovik Osman presided over the function, while JSD central organising secretary Jasim Uddin Babu, JSD central members Taiubur Rahman, Belayet Hossain, JSD Bandarban District unit president Humayun Kabir, Chittagong South district unit president Dr Shuvon Mitro and Chittagong Press Club General Secretary Shuklal Das, among others, addressed the meeting.
