Staff Reporter :The education ministry has shifted the dates of examinations of two papers of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) again due to Jamaat’s hartal.The English first paper examination of JSC and Arabic first paper examination of JDC will be held on November 19 instead of November 5, according to a press release of the Education Ministry.While the English second paper of JSC and Arabic second paper of JDC will be held on November 20 instead of November 6.The decision was taken at an emergency meeting chaired by Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid in the Secretariat on Monday afternoon.This is the second instance of deferring this year’s JSC and its equivalent examinations due to a political party’s strike, called in protest against war crimes verdict given against its leaders.Earlier, Bangla first paper and Bangla second paper of JSC and JDC examinations were reshuffled for the same reason.Jamaat-e-Islami has again called for countrywide hartal on Wednesday and Thursday in protest against the death penalty given to its leader Kamaruzzaman for committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.
