Being enraged with mother, a JSC girl examinee allegedly hanged herself from ceiling at her study room at Faridganj Upazila on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Shraboni Akter Peyara,14, daughter of Muslim Bepary and Moriom Begum -resident of Beparibari at Horni Durgapur village under Faridganj Upazila. Muslim Bepari works in Dhaka.
Shraboni’s paternal uncle Amir Hossain said, after the exam on Thursday, Shraboni returned home. After serious altercation with her mother due to a past family feud, Shraboni committed suicide on Thursday afternoon by hanging herself from ceiling with the help of her scarf.
On getting information, Faridganj Thana Police later rescued the hanging body in the evening.
Contacted, Faridganj Thana OC Abdur Rakib said, a UD case was filed in this connection and the body was already sent on Friday morning to Chandpur General morgue for post mortem.
