A student committed suicide after failing in the Junior School Certificate (JSC) examination at city’s Charlakkya area under Karnaphuli thana yesterday. The deceased was identified as Sayma Akter,13, daughter of Peyar Ahmed, hailed from Board Bazar area of Charlakkya union under Karnaphuli thana in the city.
Quoting family members, Sub Inspector Pankaj Barua of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost said Sayma committed suicide by drinking poison after she failed in the JSC examinations as the results out on Tuesday.
