The 2nd day of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil certificate examinations under the Chittagong Education Board (CEB) ended peacefully yesterday..
Board sources said, around 2,705 students were absent in the Bangla first paper examination on the first day in different centres of the four districts under CEB.
A total of 1, 65,547 students took part in the JSC examinations under CEB this year from 1,221 educational institutions through 211 examination centres.
Adequate numbers of vigilance teams, consisting of officials of CEB, were deputed in different centres to check any sort of unfairness or irregularities.
Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Shamsul Arefin, CEB Chairman Prof Shehada Islam along with officials of district administration visited five examination centers in the city. CEB Secretary Prof Pijush Dotto said the examination was held in a peaceful manner as the authority has taken necessary steps in this regard.
